CFS is a dynamic playground of surgical innovation, where hands-on learning and cutting-edge technology come together to shape the future of medicine. We proudly welcome UC San Diego learners at all levels—medical students, PA students, residents, and fellows—into an environment designed for growth, exploration, and mastery.

Our center buzzes with activity, hosting everything from weekly resident labs across all surgical specialties to visiting professor sessions, skills bootcamps, and surgery interest group events. Beyond our internal programs, we serve as a premier hub for external courses, including professional association programs, industry team trainings, surgeon device education, and usability studies to name a few.
