Programs
UC San Diego Courses
Internal programs held at the Center for the Future of Surgery focus on training UC San Diego's future medical professionals. Medical students, residents, and fellows participate in courses throughout the year, following curriculums created by UC San Diego's School of Medicine and Department of Surgery faculty.
Surgical Association Courses
Several surgical associations, both national and international, have held high volume annual courses or meetings at the Center for the Future of Surgery to demonstrate the latest technologies and surgical techniques in the field.
Industry Events
The Center for the Future of Surgery consistently works with a range of industries interested in sponsoring or holding lab events at our facility. Various industries support our weekly General Surgery resident animal labs as well as other surgical specialty training and research labs.
Cadaver Labs
The Center for the Future of Surgery hosts cadaver lab events in addition to dry and animate labs. Anatomical donations provided by UC San Diego's Body Donation Program allow for the development of new surgical procedures as well as research for improving patient care.
