Our Facilities

The Center for the Future of Surgery is the ideal location to host your lab, conference, meeting or CME course. Located in the beautiful Medical Education and Telemedicine building on the UC San Diego School of Medicine campus, the CFS can accommodate groups from five to 350.

Schedule

Simulation ORs

CFS features multiple standard simulation ORs, a Hybrid OR, and our signature 007 OR — all designed to support a wide range of surgical trainings. Each of the 22 stations across these ORs are equipped with an overhead light and a dedicated equipment tower, complete with endoscopic and laparoscopic video systems, and energy generators to accommodate various procedural needs.

Didactic Spaces
A variety of spaces are avilable to book in conjuction with your lab event:

  • Conference style room that can accommodate up to 15 people
  • Classroom style room that can accommodate up to 30 people
  • Learning Centers: These are 3 classroom-style spaces that can accommodate 52 people each, or 156 combined (removing wall partitions)
  • Auditorium: This space is a split-level auditorium with seating for 130 and 220, or 350 combined.

Planning and Onsite Services

A CFS Event Coordinator will be available as the CFS point of contact to support with intake, parking, catering, logistics, AV leading up to your lab and for onsite support.

Labs at CFS include scrubs, access to locker rooms, PPE, and dedicated lab technicians.
