Didactics

There are weekly didactics sessions on Wednesdays at 6:15 AM. The fellows alternate presenting each week. The primary source of the curriculum is the STS Learning Center.

Didactics is followed by Morbidity and Mortality Conference (M&M), which starts at 7 AM. Residents and fellows are expected to present cases in which they were involved. An oral presentation is all that is mandatory, but a short PowerPoint presentation may be beneficial, especially if images (for example, CT scan or coronary angiography) or relevant peer-reviewed literature would be beneficial to the presentation. There is a form which must be submitted for each M&M case.
