    Dr. Alvin Wong was born in New York, New York and grew up bicoastal in California, Maryland, and Long Island. After completing his undergraduate studies at Harvard College, he matriculated to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he received his medical degree. He then completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California San Francisco, before being accepted for a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at the University of California San Diego.

He received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine.
