Curriculum



The goal of the UC San Diego surgical residency curriculum is to provide a challenging and engaging experience. The residency involves five years of clinical training and is designed to provide progressively increasing operative and patient care experience and responsibility. The program is approved by the ACGME for complete training. A generic outline of the core curriculum is presented below:
